Rules

School Rules

  1.  The morning session commences at 8.40 am. Students shall arrive at 8.35 a.m.
  2.  Students will take part in     the solemn morning assembly in an orderly and respectful manner.
  3.  No student can leave the school premises during the school hours without the Principal’s permission.
  4. Students are expected to move in an orderly way.
  5.  Late comers should meet the Physical education teacher and their names will be entered in the late comer’s record.
  6.  When a teacher enters the classroom, the pupils are expected to stand up, greet him/her and remain standing till they are asked to sit.
  7.  Students must go straight home after school unless involved in supervised activity. We expect our students to be well mannered at all times.
         Parties or get-together inside the school premises after the school hours are not permitted.
  8.  Mobile phones, pen drives, i-pods, video games and cameras are not permitted in the school campus under any circumstances.
  9.  No obscene literature and abusive language will be allowed within the school premises.
  10.  Chewing gum is not permitted in school.
  11. Students must wear the school uniform and be neatly dressed at all times.
  12. Hair styles must be appropriate and conform to school norms. Girls with long hair must ensure that it is tied or braided neatly.
  13.  Ragging is totally banned. The anti-ragging committee will maintain vigil and undertake necessary measures to eradicate unethical practice                      among students.
  14.  Cheating is unacceptable and any student caught using un-fair means will be debarred from the examination and will not be gra ded.
  15. The ID card is mandatory and students will not be permitted to board school transport/attend classes without it.
  16.  Library books must be returned on time. If a library book is lost, then the student will be asked to pay a sum equivalent to the cost of the
            book/replace the book.
  17.  Students must not throw any type of litter in and around the vicinity of the school.
  18.  Students should remain silent and study in the absence of the teacher.
  19.   After lunch break, students should be in their classrooms at the first bell and maintain silence. Classes will commence at the second bell.
  20.  Habitual negligence in work, disobedience and acts of misconduct will involve severe disciplinary action including expulsion.
           The school reserves the right to dismiss students whose diligence or progress in studies is constantly unsatisfactory or whose
           conduct is harmful to other students or whose parents show little interest in the progress of their wards.
  21.  Playing in class rooms and in the corridors is strictly prohibited.
  22.  While passing along corridors during class hours, students shall be silent. No shouting or whistling is allowed in the school campus.
  23.  Students shall be responsible for the safe custody of their belongings. All belongings should be labeled.
  24.  No meetings, parties or school activities should be arranged without the approval of the Principal. All collection must be made through the
           office.
  25.  Gold ornaments shall not be worn by boys and girls while attending the school. It is not advisable for students to have too much money in
            their possession.
  26. Students who need to leave early must have a note from the parents in the handbook.

BUS RULES

  1.  Students who travel by school bus shall submit an application to the principal for the same.
  2.  Every student who gets on the school bus should behave decently.
  3.  Arrive at the bus stop 5 minutes earlier.
  4.  Children should be escorted by responsible persons to and from the boarding point.
  5. Children shall line up to board the bus.
  6.  Avoid noisy behaviour while waiting for bus.
  7.   Do not try to get on and off the bus while it is moving.
  8.  Classroom conduct is to be observed on the bus.
  9.  Students shall not throw waste paper on the floor of the bus or out of the bus windows.
  10.  Do not eat on the bus.
  11. Do not damage bus equipments. If any damage is caused, it is to be made good.
  12.  Students should not behave dangerously while in bus. They should be always seated  in the most disciplined way.
  13. Do not fight, push or shove.
  14.  Do not use any profane language.
  15.  Obey and respect driver and other employees.
  16.  After getting off the bus, children shall see that they cross road only after the bus moves.
  17.  Walk never behind the bus.

     ENGLISH is the campus language and students are expected to use the same inside the school bus.

LIBRARY RULES

  1. Books will be issued only in the concerned library period.
  2. Books are to be returned within one week after the date of issue.
  3. If a book is lost by the borrower he/she will have to replace the book or pay a sum equivalent to the cost of the book.

HEALTH AND HYGIENE RULES

  1. Students are advised to take bath twice a day.
  2. Nails and hair are to be trimmed regularly. It is compulsory for boys to have their hair cut (navy cut) and neatly combed.
  3. Girls are advised to plait their long hair or keep it tied up. Hair should free from lice.
  4. Students are expected to come to school in neat uniform with clean socks and polished shoes.
  5. Hands must be washed before and after meals. A habit of bringing clean water bottles and napkins should be developed.

GUIDELINES TO THE PARENTS

 
  1. Children should be escorted to and from the school by authorized persons.
  2. Parents are not allowed to meet the teachers during class time without the Principal’s permission

3. It is the duty of the parents or guardians to monitor their ward’s activities on the internet, outside the school.
4. You are requested to attend the school functions and be co-operative in all the school activities.
5. Parents/guardians are requested to notify in school office, in case of any change in their address or telephone numbers.
6. Parents are requested not to send money unless asked for in writing by the school for any function or activities.
7. All efforts made by the teachers with regard to student’s training can be meaningful only if the parents co-operate.
    Hence parents should ensure that:
(a)  Children attend school in the prescribed uniform with the required books regularly.
(b)   Children get enough time at home for learning lessons and doing assignments.
(c)   Fees should be paid on scheduled dates.
8. Parents are requested not to bring food items to the school during the school hours.
9. Parents who seek information or need clarification during school hours may meet the Principal (and not the class teacher) by prior appointment.
10. Sick students should not be sent to school.
11. Parents are requested to inform the authorities in case the child is suffering from any illness and is under regular medication.
12. Chips, chocolates and fizzy drinks are not allowed.
13. The school is a no-plastic zone, so refrain from sending plastic bags to school.
14. Ensure that your child is regular and punctual.
15. Students are not allowed to bring mobile phones to the school campus under any circumstances.
      In case of emergency the student may use the school telephone. Mobile phones brought to school will be confiscated and returned only
      at the end of the academic year.
16.  For all certificates, parents are expected to fill in the application form available at the office, in person. Kindly allow a processing time of
       two working days for certificates.
17.   Parents may interact with teachers taking prior appointment between 3.15 p.m – 3.40 pm and personel phone calls are entertained
        between 7:00 pm – 8:00pm. Please consider and respect the private space of teachers too.
18.   Parents are not permitted to visit the classrooms.
19.   Special timetable will be provided for special occasions.

GUIDELINES FOR TECHNOLOGY USE

Computer should be used only for the purpose of education, academic research, activities and communication related to Nadvathul Islam English School. Facilities provided at school should not be used for any fraudulent purposes.It is the duty of parent or Guardian to monitor their ward’s activities on their Internet, out of school. Personal websites, blogs or profile directions such as Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus etc. are not monitored by NIES, but objectionable content regarding school or classmates put up on such sites will result in disciplinary action.
Users are requested to adhere to the rules and regulations stated by the concerned authorities on matters of copyright and intellectual property rights, hacking, upload, download post or transmission of obscene, threatening, harassing, defamatory libelous, hateful/ ethnically motivated contents. Any violation may invite liability and criminal penalties as per law.
